Our Story & Philosophy

Officially opened in 2018 between the city of Genoa and the renowned Portofino, the original “Il Bistrotto” is widely recognized as one of the most distinguished cocktail bars on the Ligurian Riviera. It introduced a new concept of high-quality cocktails and natural wines, paired with dishes from various culinary traditions, always meant to be shared. With the opening of this new blue Mediterranean bistro in the heart of Chelsea, we are finally fulfilling the dream of bringing our vision of quality dining and drinking beyond our own territory.

Our Story & Philosophy

Founded in Genoa in 1947, Velier is a global leader in the rum sector, thanks to Luca Gargano, who made distilleries like Demerara, Caroni, and Foursquare famous. In addition to rum, Velier pioneered natural wines with the launch of the “Triple A” protocol in 2003, promoting authentic and sustainable producers. Their partnership with Il Bistrotto London highlights the company’s commitment to promoting quality and authenticity in the food and beverage industry.
